Analyzing After 5 of Marunouchi Office Workers
Background: I want to create a town that makes office workers more happy
Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd. owns more than 30 buildings around Marunouchi and employs more than 280,000 office workers. We also have a full range of commercial facilities for going out for drinks and shopping at the end of work to make the office workers even more happy. However, until now, it was not clear whether office workers were actually eating, drinking or shopping in the same area, or if they were going to another area, and which area they were going to. Therefore, by utilizing Cinarra’s Venue Vitalics, we visualized where the office workers in the Marunouchi area are going at the end of work, and analyzed them for future measures.
Implementation details: Analyzed the population of location-defined “office workers” by area
Cinarra’s Venue Vitalics™ is a statistical data service that utilizes a large amount of accurate location data held by telecommunication carriers, as well as demographic and residential data of subscribers, in a secure and anonymized manner. Using location data, we divided the Daimaru area into Otemachi, Marunouchi, and Yurakucho, and analyzed after-5 activity areas, defining office workers as users who are detected frequently on weekdays.

We have received the following message from the person in charge about the results of the analysis: “The survey was very meaningful because it not only helped us to clearly visualize what we had conceptually recognized and assumed, but also helped us to understand things that we had not known before. Based on the results, we hope to reflect them in our measures to improve the level of satisfaction among area workers.
